Annie Hamilton - The Future Is Here But It Feels Kinda Like The Past (Vinyl) Escapism is perhaps the very spirit of music; for critically acclaimed singer-songwriter and multi-hyphenate artist Annie Hamilton, it’s the music itself that acts as a portal to escape through. It’s only fitting, then, that her debut album “the future is here but it feels kinda like the past”, feels like a transportive, mystical journey through a dreamscape of hot, muggy, red-dirt afternoons that become electric blue twilights and navy-black nights lit up sporadically, breath-takingly, by treacherous forked lightning, eventually giving way to warm, fuzzy mornings sitting on the window-sill of reality. In her short solo career, Annie Hamilton has already attracted the praise of triple j, FBi Radio, RUSSH and LNWY. Across her three singles, and a self-titled EP, she has brought her music to the ears of fans in Australia, Sweden, Denmark and the United States. She’s toured with Julia Jacklin, Jack River, and Phantastic Ferniture. In addition to her solo project, Hamilton plays guitar in Jack River’s live band, runs her own eponymous fashion label, and was formerly lead guitarist in Sydney outfit Little May. TRACKLISTING 1.
