Product Overview

Bedouine - Waysides (LP) "Waysides" is the third Bedouine album. Currently Bedouine has 466k + monthly Spotify listeners -- a number which has grown exponentially in the past 18 months. She will be touring with My Morning Jacket in October, Courtney Barnett in November and a full UK tour in February. “The Solitude” The started as a songwriting practice. I was listening to Joni Mitchell’s “My Old Man” and kept returning to the lyric “the bed’s too big, the frying pan’s too wide”. I was so taken by that; conveying a feeling by describing a change in proportions. I wanted to expand on that and it became kind of an homage. Otherwise, it’s about the realization that I’m not impervious to codependencies and being in denial about them. “It Wasn’t Me” This song is so special to me because it’s from a time I’d lock myself in the bedroom to record a demo to get something off my chest. If it was good enough I would even share it with the person it was about. I wrote this after I spent an evening on a city park bench with someone, thinking it was this incredibly romantic moment, only to find out I was alone in that feeling. I can’t remember if this actually happened but I think I brought it up and he basically explained that he didn’t mean to lead me on, that it was just the setting (the fountains, the lights, the full moon, etc.) but that conversation could have happened entirely in my mind.
