IC-01 Hanoi is a collection of jam sessions from the same recording sessions of Sex & Food, recorded in Hanoi, Vietnam. The album explores the outer edges of UMO’s influences, including jazz, fusion, kraut rock and avant-garde. The sessions included frontman Ruban Nielson’s father and local Vietnamese musicians.
